Holy Week…A Time For Reflection…Then Resurrection…

I always find the week leading up to Easter Sunday, Holy Week,  is a week of reflection and resurrection of your spirit…A week of contemplation and giving of yourself…as Jesus gave of Himself…and ultimately, Himself… for Humanity’s Salvation…Yet in this week of reflection, we examine ourselves to find if we have been true to our inner spirits of God’s faith in us as being worthy of salvation…by giving service to others, unconditionally,  while manifesting miracles through the power of love…

Our trial as true beacons of light and love, was ushered in by a pandemic…this pandemic is going to be one of the ultimate tests of humankind’s service to one another and a testament to the power and miracle manifestations of Love…

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are always reflections of the finality and suffering of Jesus’s last acts in human form, by the reaction of the weather during those days…Thursday, it rained all day…Friday began cloudy…the sun broke through momentarily…and then there was rain…and darkness.  The heavens remember  the past…representing these days, every year that I can remember, with darkness and rain…Sorrow and tears from above…to cleanse and open our hearts to the real reason of our existence…Love….

Tomorrow will be the day of the Great Resurrection…He rose again to save our souls…so we could save others…Practice Connectivity…Teach Brotherhood…Give Peace….Manifest Miracles Through Love…Become the Power…Become Love…We are and always will be Love…Tapped or untapped…it is who we are…and we will be tested…time and time again…until we face that realization…

No matter how many eons pass…or how many resurrections we find before us…We will always be given a reminder…This pandemic will pass…but not our capacity to Love…it must stay with us and we must cultivate it daily…hourly…moment by moment…without giving thought to the deeds or the giving…lest we do…we will be given a test even greater…to which there may be no return to give thanks…

There are only hours left to reflect before we resurrect…become one with He who gave His life…so we could live…

I will leave you with that reflection…..

As March Goes Out…April Comes In…Let Us Not Be Fools…

March came in humbling humanity in the wake of a virus which is now a pandemic… As April Comes In…Let Us Not Be Fools…

We must continue to practice social distancing and disinfecting and taking care of one another while taking care, ourselves…We cannot act as if we are invincible or untouchable…we must always be mindful and careful…with friends…family, and if you’re considered an essential worker…with your co-workers.  We are all family now.  If we become each other’s Guardian Angels…we will make it through to the other side of this devastation stronger and better spiritually…mentally…emotionally…and physically connected and bonded as it was in the beginning…reactivating the love which dwells within all of us…

I want to share part of an article I read today from the New York Times…

Afghans meet coronavirus with kindness, waiving rent and distributing food and masks to their neighbors.

In a moment of need, ordinary Afghans have stepped up to generously share the little that they have, easing the pain of an impending health crisis that is turning into another test of survival for a country where life has been a daily fight for decades.

Across Afghanistan, many landlords have waived rent, in some cases indefinitely until the virus threat recedes. Tailors have handed out thousands of homemade face masks. Youth groups and athletes have delivered food to hospitals and families in destitution. Wedding halls and private schools have volunteered to be turned into hospitals.

The owner of a marketplace of 40 shops forgave rent not just for the month, but for as long as the epidemic continues. The governor of one province set up an emergency Covid-19 fund and in just one day received contributions of more than $100,000.

Mohamed Kareem Tawain, an 80-year-old dentist in Herat, the center of the outbreak in Afghanistan, said that he had experienced multiple wars and droughts in his lifetime, and that Afghanistan was better prepared to deal with the virus than those past scourges.

“I am not too terrified,” he said. “Although it is difficult times, if we join hands, God willing, the corona problem will pass.”

What beautiful and incredibly generous gestures being given by those living in a country ravaged by so much destruction!!!  Think of what could be done here in America!!!  Student loans could be forgiven…how many landlords could waive rents here?!  What about marketplaces, Malls?  How many could forgive shops and small businesses renting storefronts and mall spaces?  This pandemic is taking lives as if there may be no tomorrow…Stepping up to ease the fear of the masses in any and all ways possible… would relieve the panic of destitution and economic loss to those who live from paycheck to paycheck…fixed incomes and temporary employment situations.  No one should have to worry about healthcare and medicine…especially during this time…

We can always do more… And our capacity to do good…and to do what is right…will be put to the test…in the coming months… more than ever before in this life! Let us not be April Fools…

Love thy neighbors and embrace our world families…We are neighbors…and we are family…this realization is given to us…whether we want it to be…or not…whether we like it…or not…yet… there is a great joy in belonging to one another…reaching out to one another…and yes, loving one another!

What greater works are these, than Selflessness and Love?

We have been directed to be one another’s Salvation…We have been appointed as one another’s Comforter…

Let us not be Fools in accepting this mission of serving one another…

Let us follow those stepping up in humility…

And Love….

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.

Today, there was a laminated card attached to the door…It started with…

“Hello, If you are self-isolating, I can help.  My name is…My phone number is…I live locally at… If you are self-isolating due to COVID-19, I can help with, Picking Up Shopping, Posting Mail, Prayer, A Friendly Phone Call, Urgent Supplies…Just call me or text me, and I’ll do my best to help you (for free!)

And it ended with…

“Coronavirus is contagious, therefore I will take every precaution to ensure I’m spreading only kindness.  I will seek to avoid physical contact (2m distance), wash hands regularly, and leave any items on your doorstep.”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” ~Jesus Christ

It was left by a neighbor…

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.

For humanity, this is a test for the ages…we have strayed so far away from our core…our spirit…our light…our hearts…our souls…our essence…Love.  It is incredible that we are always at our best…when things are at their worst…it is beautiful.  Think…how phenomenal it would be…if we would cultivate our flame of love…the essence of our being…to be second nature…without thought…without effort…as involuntary as breathing…in reaching out to each other…whenever…however…whatever the need…with love, support, compassion, understanding…love…love…love…isn’t it ironic that it takes something out of our control to bring us together as one people…one world…one unit united to defeat an invisible enemy…with love?

We will never be the same…because this moment in our time…has changed us.  We cannot return to the separations created to divide us…to weaken us…to rob us of knowing our true essence…love.  Mountains can be moved in the name of love…Coronavirus will be defeated…in the name of love…Sorrows will be lifted…in the name of love…hearts will be mended…in the name of love…you will be changed…in the twinkling of an eye…in the name of love…You have embraced your neighbor…in the name of love…you have been changed…

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.

The lights of love are being activated…all over…in every corner of the world…in every heart that answers the call…Don’t you hear it?

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.

Your supply is endless…Use it…

And When You Feel Afraid…

The Coronavirus has turned the world upside down…Be still…and know, that all is not lost… A new realization is on the horizon…

And When You Feel Afraid…

Remember who stilled the waters…and brought calm to the sea… Remember that all things must pass…and this too, shall pass…

And When you feel afraid…

Remember who you are…All things find peace in the presence of Love…

Give it.  Receive it.  Give it to all who need it.  Do not measure it.  Do not barter it.  Do not ask for it in return.  Send it out on the wings of a prayer… On the wave of an ocean… On a river of dreams… Set it to sail from the ship of your heart… From the depths of your soul… make it the essence of your being… Because it is your being… You are Love.

And When You Feel Afraid…

Remember you are not alone… There is always someone reaching out in love… And when you forget… and feel afraid… There is always someone waiting to remind you… You are loved… And you are love…Know it…be it…Become it.

Right now…in this moment…all over the world…there are masses of people afraid… Not knowing how to move forward… Not knowing what will happen next…

Move forward with love…move forward giving love…move forward knowing that love conquers all. No matter what the obstacle… no matter what the impossibility…Love conquers all… Love unites all… Love heals all…

And When You Feel Afraid…

Fear not… The waters from this great storm will be quieted…Calm will be brought to this turbulent sea… all things will come to pass… and this too, shall pass…

Love is the key… There is no greater power in the heavens or on earth…

And When you Feel Afraid…

Remember…

Remember…

Remember…

There is no greater power in the heavens…or on earth…

Than Love….

Love Is The Answer…

Love is the answer…

Let’s take a look at us…our world…and let’s reflect on what is happening in it…and what we see on a day to day basis…There is something missing, and it is being reintroduced to the world…through all of the chaos…madness…sickness…disease…viral pandemic…and death… What is it? Can you see it?

Love…is the answer.  I would like to write  the lyrics to one of my favorite songs of the ’70’s…Written by John Wilcox/Kasim Sutton/Roger Powell, and Todd Rundgren…Sung by John Ford Coley…it is timeless…it is relevant…it is now.

LOVE IS THE ANSWER

Name your price

A ticket to paradise

I can’t stay here anymore

And I’ve looked high and low

I’ve been from shore to shore to shore

If there’s a short cut I’d have found it

But there’s no easy way around it

Light of the world, shine on me

Love is the answer

Shine on us all, set us free

Love is the answer

Who knows why Someday we all must die

We’re all homeless boys and girls

And we are never heard

It’s such a lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely world

People turn their heads and walk on by

Tell me,  is it worth just another try?

Light of the world, shine on me

Love is the answer (let it shine)

Shine on us all, set us free

Love is the answer (you know the answer is love)

Tell me, are we alive, or just a dying planet?

What are the chances?

Ask the man in your heart for the answers

And when you feel afraid, love one another

When you’ve lost your way, love one another

When you’re all alone, love one another

When you’re far from home, love one another

When you’re down and out, love one another

All your hope’s run out, love one another

When you need a friend, love one another

When you’re near the end, love

We’ve got to love, we got to love one another

Light of the world, you got to shine on me

Love is the answer

Shine on us all (know that love can save the day)

Set us free

Love is the answer

(Just give it, just one more chance)

Light of the world, shine on me

Love is the answer (love, love, love)

Shine on us all, set us free

Love is the answer

(Lord, you just can’t let it stop, Lord)

Light of the world, shine on me

Love is the answer

Shine on us all, set us free

We just can’t let it stop…We’ve got to love one another now… Use the light within you…shine on the world…set it free…Love Is The Answer…..

How Fragile Is Life…

How Fragile is Life…

Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, Christina Mauser, John, Keri and Alyssa Altobelli; Payton and Sarah Chester; and Ara Zobayan were not expecting to be casualties of a devastating helicopter crash on the morning of January 26, 2020…yet, it came to be…

My mom used to say, “Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Live each day as if it were your last.”  She always reminded us children that we needed to love one another, and to be grateful that we were fortunate to wake up every morning…because tomorrow was not a promise…

How Fragile is Life…so much so, that we must live it with joy…happiness…forgiveness…humility…appreciation…gratitude…wonder…thankfulness… awe…strength…courage…honesty…compassion…peace…reflection…thoughtfulness…focus… adventure…integrity…wisdom…truth..love…love…and more love…giving love beyond your comfort zone…unconditionally…to all who pass your way.

No matter how long or short our journey here, once we leave it all behind, our story is written…no matter how or what the circumstance of our departure, we must live each day as if it were our last, and to the fullest…The lives of those on that helicopter on that fateful day, were journeys on a path that intersected with their cycles of life…

We know not the day or the hour…and we must not spend our moments in anticipation of when …why…or how…it is only our journey to live…love…and be the best of ourselves to one another…to our surroundings…and to ourselves…

How Fragile is life…in cosmic time, it is only moments…fluid and fleeting…waiting for no one…life is in constant motion and transition…cycles of beginnings…and endings…from one form…to another…change is inevitable…

Celebrate the lives that have left us…the fragility of life is a constant reminder that we must embrace it with love and acceptance…and forge our paths with gratitude…leaving behind the best of our moments…and the best of ourselves.

How Fragile is Life? It’s here today…and tomorrow? Meet it with Love…Life is too short for anything less than Love….

January 1, 2019…Focus.

January 1, 2019….A new day, a new year, a new beginning.  There is something wonderful about new beginnings…everyday we wake up, we are given a new beginning.  We seem to convince ourselves that each day ending and each day beginning is a continuous string of events….it isn’t.  Because we believe it goes on and on with the establishment of our daily routines, we miss the uniqueness of the moments taking place before us in the course of our lives….

Stop sleep walking through your lives and realize that each moment is a new beginning… Recognize, and discover that once again, you are a part of special times and special moments, like 2019, and the first day of January… Change your life…Change the world…

Happy New Year….

New Year’s Eve 2017…Time For Another Year-End Clearance…

Here we are again…another year ending.  Time for reflection. Time for the yearly recap…Time for another year-end clearance.  Every December 31st the ritual begins.  Out with the old, in with the new…the new…the new.  Is it really going to be a new year? Or just a rehashing of the old year brought into the New Year?

Looking back on the year 2017, and remembering some of my adventures on my journey through the past twelve months, I recall an incident which occurred on December 5th.  A co-worker instigated what was called later, a “verbal altercation.”

The saddest part of what I witnessed was that the person he approached was blamed for the incident he escalated due to his agitation, lack of focus and insensitivity to their feelings.  It came out later that he was indeed not on the same page as the person had told him.  I watched him become increasingly defensive when that was brought to his attention.

I watched as this young man rallied his coworkers to defend his behavior.  They did, painting him as the victim and the other person as the abrasive and loud perpetrator who attacked and embarrassed him, without reason.

The crowning blow of this travesty was their director.  She never asked the person who was really the victim their side of the story.  The true victim sent an email to the director saying that she had a conversation with the young man, there seemed to be some confusion, and asked to discuss the incident with her… The director ignored her email and approached the young man who initiated the “verbal altercation”, the coworkers, and others, outside of the department, never once approaching the recipient of the young man’s agitation and escalation, and began to build a “stereo-typical” event of character displays always present, in people of color.

The young man, who is a supervisor, had a conversation with me and disclosed that he was under a lot of pressure and overwhelmed by his duties, and didn’t have time for much else, which distressed him.  He admitted to me that he wasn’t on the same page as the coworker he confronted, however, there were things that were mentioned by the person, like their job description, which he felt was inappropriate.  He had mentioned his job description and saw nothing wrong with it, but found fault with his coworker using it to clarify a job duty in their “conversation.”

The coworker, who was going to resign due to lack of work next year, tendered their resignation after a meeting with the director, who would not listen to the employee’s story of what happened, and started to ‘create justifications’ involving the person as changes in their behavior!

The person who resigned was a person of color, and an older female.  The young man involved was not a person of color.  This story is detrimental to our year-end clearance…

My credentials include being a Legal Redress Chair for the NAACP, and a Board Member of the ACLU. As such, my training has given me specific criteria in determining human and civil rights violations.  I also witnessed in this workplace, a female coworker, not of color, create dissention between her and several coworkers and a director of an adjoining department, and she was given the benefit of the doubt, and mentored by the same director who shutout the older female person of color, until the director of the adjoining department barred this employee from working on any projects from her department, shutting down the workflow to the offensive employee.

This incident culminated last December 2016.  The director gave the disruptive employee time to look for another job, keeping her through Christmas, and when she found a job in early January 2017, she allowed the employee to resign, rather than being fired.

The employee of color resigned on December 7th, two days after the alleged verbal altercation she was named as having instigated, without any support from her director or her “team” which she  faithfully supported.

Out with the old…in with the new.  If we do not examine ourselves and truly work on real change, by changing the old which define our actions, as well as ourselves…new years will never be new…just rehashing the old, destructive elements which divide and conquer humanity; laying waste to any possibilities of peace on earth…goodwill toward all…and a planet attempting to heal from ongoing wars and the constant onslaught of depletion and pollution of her resources.

Clear out the old…this is the moment of your “year-end clearance.” Hold back nothing.  Clean the slate, don’t just “clear it.” Be true to yourself and work on breaking old habits and destructive beliefs, and work on and welcome change… Until we genuinely work on ridding our hearts, minds and spirits of that which “steals, kills and destroys,” new years will come and go without much more than ritual fanfare…without much hope…with ongoing excessive, old baggage being rearranged under the guise of “new.”

Walk into the New Year…don’t trip into it…don’t fall into it…your year-end clearance is now…Tomorrow is a new year, Embrace it with a renewed you! It all begins with you…

On second thought, JUMP!!!

God has given all of us the gift of free-will…with free-will, we can create…Let us create a new future, beginning with this new year…

Peace…Love…Change…Brotherhood of Humanity…Protect our Planet…we are ready…we are receptive…

Enter, 2018…we are NEW, we welcome you!!!

God Bless us all…everyone and everything which gives us the ability to be Bringers of Light and Change…and Love.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Peace On Earth…Goodwill Towards Men…

Image result for christmas images

Christmas Day, December 25, 2017…What does it mean, “Peace on Earth, Goodwill Towards Men?” In all of Christmases past, have we ever practiced the true meaning of these words? Why is it only a phase that comes out but once a year?  Why isn’t it goodwill towards every human being on earth; men, women and children alike? Can we also extend this goodwill and peace toward our planet and all living things supporting life in any capacity of betterment?

We must return to the message and the purpose which gave birth to this phrase….Peace on Earth…Goodwill towards men…

How far have we ventured away from any possibility of Peace? From Goodwill towards anyone, including ourselves? Do we know who we are…where

we’ve been and where we’re going?  Have we gained any insights at all into our connectivity to one another? Goodwill towards men…

Rediscover compassion…love…brother and sisterhood…humanity…peace…goodwill…environment… Mother Earth….

Father Time is ticking…will this be our last Christmas to understand? Putting off tomorrow what needs to be practiced today…is having its consequence.

Give with all of your heart and soul…Love…Peace…Goodwill, to everyone and preserve our home…our Earth.  Christmas Day, December 2018, hangs in the balance.  Everything begins with you.

Peace on Earth…Goodwill Towards All!

Merry Christmas, Baby.
