With his death, Christ took away the sins of the world…Did we bring them back?

Good Friday is a day of mourning of this supreme sacrifice given by Christ to secure humanity a passage into everlasting life….

What have we done with our salvation?

Take a look around your immediate surroundings…then take a look around the world…

There is still so much human induced pain and suffering upon immediate family…friends…co-workers…strangers…animals…the planet…for reasons that are far and away from sacrifice…compassion…and selflessness…

The origin of “compassion” comes from Latin which means “to suffer with.” A greater commitment that not only means to have sympathy but to suffer along with whoever is suffering… This is how Christ gave his life for humanity…He made the ultimate sacrifice by suffering along with humanity in taking humanity’s sins and suffering upon himself.

It appears as though the sins of the world are back…a hundredfold! This time…we are being reminded that we can choose to uphold the great sacrifice and show of compassion that was made on humanity’s behalf…to ensure the salvation that we have been given…Holy Week culminating with Good Friday…isn’t an occurrence that comes just once a year…Love…Sacrifice…Compassion…are always with us to exercise every second of everyday.

There are those who believe that sins will never be accounted for, and therefore, they make it their mission in life to violate every universal law which extends into laws of humanity, without believing their actions consequential…Every human breath and action is held accountable…and will be satisfied…There is nothing random in the universe…From black holes to meteors crashing to Earth…Everything holds meaning and accountability….

Use this day of Good Friday to understand its significance…and yours.

The gift of salvation was made with compassion…sacrifice…love…and the knowing and belief…that humanity was worth it…

He took away the sins of the world…Have we brought them back?

Search your hearts…

It is there…you will find the answer…

And…Salvation….

Intelligent Life…

What is it…Intelligent Life?

What does it mean?

Let’s start with Intelligence…

Sternberg’s theory of intelligence defines three types of Intelligence…Practical…Creative and Analytical….

Practical intelligence is street smarts and common sense…

Creative intelligence is imaginative and innovative problem solving…

And…Analytical intelligence is academic problem solving and computation.

Other psychologists believe that intelligence is a collection of definite abilities separate in nature, characterizing distinction in application.

Crystallized intelligence is defined as acquired knowledge and the ability to retrieve it… When one learns…remembers…and recalls information…they are utilizing crystallized intelligence.  Crystallized intelligence also helps one to overcome concrete, straightforward problems…

Fluid intelligence is the ability to see complex relationships and solve problems… Fluid intelligence helps one tackle complex, abstract challenges in their daily life.

The overall definition of intelligence is… the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills…

What kind of knowledge and skills create…

Weapons…

Wars…

Hatred…

Racism…

Discrimination…

Hunger…

Homelessness…

Greed…

Murder…

Killing…

Stealing…

Lies…

Deception…

Inhumanity…

Intelligence doesn’t encompass Love…

Intelligence doesn’t embody Compassion…

 Love… Compassion…

These… are the Soul of Humanity…

The Life…which gives Life…

Without Love…

Without Compassion…

Intelligent life…is doomed.

The ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills…

Intelligent Life…

Maybe Man is the only “intelligent life” in the Universe…

Spiritual Food…

What fuels your spirit?

What is your breakfast…lunch…and dinner of spirit?

What fuel or food do you take in which feeds your spirit?

We know what fuels the body…

We know we must eat to live…not live to eat…yet so many of us live to eat.

We are like kids in a candy store!  The “foodies” among us are generally gourmets in our own right…and we live to eat…despite the fact that what sends our taste buds to the moon we delight in the journey to the point of overdoing it in consumption because it tastes so good!  We know we shouldn’t…we know that for some of us our weight will “wear” what we eat…and for some of us we may suffer health issues…however, that piece of chocolate cake, or that extra helping of fries gives us that ”devil-may-care” attitude and we convince ourselves that we’ll deal with the physical consequences of our gastronomic indulgences…later.

So what consequences result in regards to spiritually overindulging in what we “feed” our spirits?

The greatest examples of spiritual consumption of fuels and foods that work contrary to the spirit is what we’ve witnessed in the last four years in the form of Trump…his GOP…his supporters…

They chose to feed their spirits Lies instead of Truth…

Hatred… instead of Love…

Violence… instead of Peace…

Suppression… instead of Freedom…

Division… instead of Unity…

Cruelty… instead of Compassion…

Selfishness… instead of Humanitarianism…

Anger… instead of Levelheadedness…

Delusion… instead of Reality…

Absolute Power… instead of Democracy…

Eventually, the continual ingesting of these foods and fuels to the spirit will result in the demise of the spirit… Nothing good can ever emerge from evil… and only good…can deliver from evil….

Should we find ourselves walking down the path of evil…by feeding our spirits with foods and fuels that are not in sync with nourishing, lifting and enlightening our spirits to the highest level of humility, humanity…and love…we must step back and observe what is going on around us…and within us…and ask, “Am I contributing to my highest good which connects to all those around me…including the well-being of the planet? Or am I connecting with the darkest abominations of my spirit…and casting those monstrosities upon the world in destruction of humanity and the planet?”

Observe the chaos in our country and the world…take note of the “plagues” in the form of a mutating virus which gives minuscule signs of hope…only to take away that hope in delivering perhaps more devastation upon humanity…because there are those who choose to feed their spirits rebellion and defiance…rather than comply to social distancing and mask wearing to save themselves…and their fellow humans…

Look at the changing weather patterns due to the mistreatment of our planet through the quest for material gain in destroying the environment…and our atmosphere…. by drilling and sucking the life out of the planet…and releasing gases into the air that we breathe…and eating the foods and fueling the mind with denial…and “natural occurrences” rhetoric that takes place every 100 years or so…

After centuries and decades of ingesting and releasing spiritual pollutants…we are witnessing the results.

We must change what we feed and how we fuel our spirits…

Those of us who understand and are working on maintaining our diets of spiritual intake with positive and enlightening energies must continue to forge forward in our practices… We must encourage those who are working to get on and stay on the path of nourishing their spirits and the spirits of others with “good and healthy” foods and fuels…and increase in number and voice to counteract those who choose to continue to overindulge in satiating their bottomless, spiritual appetites for corruptible and egregious foods and fuels.

We will prevail if we stay the course…beginning with addressing the spiritual fallout that has left our country in a state of disarray and chaos…

Compromise only leads to eventual backsliding and succumbing to temptation…

Lead us not into temptation…

Take our daily bread…

Deliver us from evil…

By the way of the Spirit…

Manna from Heaven…

And our spiritual food and fuel…

Of Truth…..

We cannot afford to wait until later…

We cannot put off tomorrow…what can be done today…right now…

Every moment that goes by…

Our spirits hunger…

There are no substitutions…

Take in what is good…

And feed your spirit.

Countdown to Christmas…

In five days we will face our Christmas Present in a nation left divided by political strife…

Devastated by a virus mutating and spreading with the aid of those insisting upon ignoring mask protocol, social distancing and traveling this holiday season…

There is an available vaccine that will not be available to stop a surge now growing rapidly with each passing day…

Millions are still waiting for a stimulus package which will not arrive in time to ease the strain of the economic fallout from the raging corona virus, wherein many face evictions, a sparse Christmas table in food and family members and friends fallen victim to the death and physical debilitation of Covid-19…

While this may seem like a dark Christmas, there is still hope and the promise of joy and miracles…

We have been shown that the light and love of compassion still emanate brightly in the hearts and kind acts of our fellow human beings…

Many private citizens have stepped forward with contributions in many ranges and variables to aid those in need…

You may well be one of those beacons giving and bringing comfort and joy.

The spirit of Christmas is not just demonstrated in the approaching date of December 25th… The spirit of Christmas is year round, day to day…

Humanity is in great need of Love, Compassion, Giving, Healing…and reinforcing the virtues which define the “better” in those of us who wish to honor the better of ourselves…

We must step away from the “luxury” love has been made out to be…Love is who we are…it is our rite of passage in “becoming” better versions of ourselves.  It is the great stepping stone in our evolution of spirit…a great gift which can create miracles and change us and those we touch…in the twinkling of an eye…

In five days, we can do a world of good in supporting and practicing the miracle of Christmas by bringing forth our powers to manifest miracles…utilizing our spirits to embrace Goodwill…Giving…Loving…all those who cross our paths…in these days leading up to Christmas…and beyond.

This Countdown to Christmas is the beginning of your legacy…your miracles of change occur in the lives you touch…with the power of love…be it a smile…a contribution…or any heartfelt act of kindness…any gesture of compassion…given in love….

This Christmas season, the Savior has deemed you the savior…

One act of kindness…can change a life…and many lives…forever.

Random acts of kindness are surfacing in the midst of our troubling, worldly woes…It is beautiful…and it is what being human is all about…

When you witness it…or become a recipient of it…it is awesome, indeed! It doesn’t matter how large or how small the kindness…kindness isn’t measured in quantity…it’s measured in heart…

Today I was running an errand, and it took me through a toll booth…as the car ahead of me moved away…I moved forward to the cashier to pay my toll…He said, “You’re free to go.  The car ahead of you paid your toll!”  Wow!  I was floored…goodness was still making its rounds through the hearts of loving, selfless, thoughtful people… 

I wanted to somehow thank that wonderful giver-of passage-through-the toll-person…The stop light at the top of the exit assisted in my wish…it turned red.  I was right behind them, and I waved and said “Thank you” hoping they would see me in their rear view mirror…They did…and waved back.  My day was made…

After telling my story later that day, I was told of another story of a woman in a neighborhood market, who had bought a week’s worth of groceries, and only had $50.00 on her card to pay for it, and her card was rejected…the person behind her in line, stepped up and paid the entire bill! We all know the price of a week’s worth of groceries…$50.00 does not take care of it…

Random Acts of Kindness…

The world in all of its present misery, restriction and chaos is evolving to another level…a level of realization that is turning on the lights in hearts everywhere…shining brightly to reveal that we are all in this together…and we can all get through this together…by being there for one another… As it should be…always…

Random Acts of Kindness are blessings we can always give…and receive…with compassion and love…It is our reason to be…it is the way of love….

We must strive to always keep our hearts open…

Random Acts of Kindness are a part of our love contribution to humanity…

Indulge in kindness frequently…make someone’s day with your offering of love…

Random Acts of Kindness…elevate our consciousness to a supreme level of giving…because we give unconditionally…without thought…and without reservation…

June End Summation…Patience…Common Sense…Compassion…

Here we are…at another month’s end…Where are we going? What have we learned?

We’re going to Hell in a hand basket…and we’ve learned that the Coronavirus is in an upward surge again…social distancing and wearing masks just isn’t getting its message across to many…and the “young and invincible” are being hit the hardest in Covid-19’s rising new cases…

We’re going nowhere…and we’ve learned…Nothing. Due to the absence of Patience…Common Sense…and Compassion.

If people had patience, states would have remained in shutdown status until the end of August, early September…Yes, the economy and businesses would surely suffer…but lives would have been saved…testing strategies and trends would have had a better chance to reveal patterns of spread, and get more individual testing incorporated around the country to better identify asymptomatic individuals, as well as locate those who are positive.   We can always rebuild an economy and businesses…but we cannot revive those lives that are currently being lost, due to the lack of Patience…Common Sense…and Compassion.

Those who are practicing social distancing…wearing masks…staying at home…practicing patience…common sense and compassion, you are to be commended and given kudos, for thinking about others and yourselves during this critical time of life-changing consequence for all…

Heartfelt thanks to all of the healthcare professionals and others who are dedicated to attending and saving the lives of those taken down by this virus…Angels in the outfield…

Texas, Arizona and Florida are three of the states surging in new cases…and all three are led by Republican governors…urged by “someone’s” battle cry, to reopen the economy…Hmmm…who could that someone be? Well, his white-haired partner in crime is now wearing a mask…Hmmm…Maybe he’s figured something out…you think?! Come November…A Change is Gonna Come…

July is upon us…so is Independence Day…July 4th.  This is not a time to forget what is happening around us in rapid succession…Be smart…be cautionary…continue to care for one another and speak up when others are not… What is happening with this virus is not going to just disappear anytime soon…

In summation of June, we must learn to have eyes to see…and ears to hear…Human survival relies upon human patience…common sense…and compassion.  Don’t close your eyes and ears to what is going on around you…You, are a very important part of this equation…no one is immune…no one is invincible…do your part…

Continue protesting…Black Lives DO Matter! Practice social distancing and wear your masks, properly…for your sake…and the lives of those around you.  You are important to champion injustice…champion social distancing and use all protective measures during this pandemic…This is the “new normal” until a vaccine is developed…there is just no way around it! And yes, it is still a Pandemic.  The short reprieve…is over.

July awaits sense and sensibility…

In summation…Practice…

And what do we practice?

Patience…Common Sense…and Compassion…

Use PPE…and PCSC…

We hold each other’s lives…in our hands…

Be vigilant….

Today, there was a laminated card attached to the door…It started with…

“Hello, If you are self-isolating, I can help.  My name is…My phone number is…I live locally at… If you are self-isolating due to COVID-19, I can help with, Picking Up Shopping, Posting Mail, Prayer, A Friendly Phone Call, Urgent Supplies…Just call me or text me, and I’ll do my best to help you (for free!)

And it ended with…

“Coronavirus is contagious, therefore I will take every precaution to ensure I’m spreading only kindness.  I will seek to avoid physical contact (2m distance), wash hands regularly, and leave any items on your doorstep.”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” ~Jesus Christ

It was left by a neighbor…

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.

For humanity, this is a test for the ages…we have strayed so far away from our core…our spirit…our light…our hearts…our souls…our essence…Love.  It is incredible that we are always at our best…when things are at their worst…it is beautiful.  Think…how phenomenal it would be…if we would cultivate our flame of love…the essence of our being…to be second nature…without thought…without effort…as involuntary as breathing…in reaching out to each other…whenever…however…whatever the need…with love, support, compassion, understanding…love…love…love…isn’t it ironic that it takes something out of our control to bring us together as one people…one world…one unit united to defeat an invisible enemy…with love?

We will never be the same…because this moment in our time…has changed us.  We cannot return to the separations created to divide us…to weaken us…to rob us of knowing our true essence…love.  Mountains can be moved in the name of love…Coronavirus will be defeated…in the name of love…Sorrows will be lifted…in the name of love…hearts will be mended…in the name of love…you will be changed…in the twinkling of an eye…in the name of love…You have embraced your neighbor…in the name of love…you have been changed…

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.

The lights of love are being activated…all over…in every corner of the world…in every heart that answers the call…Don’t you hear it?

Love…Love…Love…It’s Easy.
