At any time one can open up to Light…One can accept the Light…One can surrender to the Light…

We are all at crossroads in our lives…we have all been called to face the dawning of another change in the history of humankind…

The challenges which have been unfolding before us… will continue to unfold and take place…until we understand the real meaning of our lives…and the roles we play upon this planet…and in the lives of others…those we know…and those we have yet to know….There is absolutely no way around our connectivity to one another…friends…loved ones…enemies…strangers…we will never sever the thread that connects all of us…and everything…within our worlds…and the universe.

Perhaps you have never ventured outside of your universe…convinced that your world is of your own creation and those in it…are by your own design… You can continue to believe it…if you like…yet, it will never change what is…

We all have been called to task with the present state and functioning of our country… Who can deny that what is taking place from politics to food on the table…has not affected each and every one of us in some shape or form…

America is under siege…

We have an invisible enemy in the form of a virus…that has taken over our lives…to show us the meaning of our lives…and still, there are many who choose to defy this virus…and their defiance is affecting and putting many others at risk. So much for autonomy…

I have written a poem…

It calls everyone of us into action… We are Guardians…We must hear the voice within that is speaking to us all to do what is right…and to stand vigilant and strong…and enter the Light…

There is more to life than living…

One must master the Art of Giving…

Learning to open up your heart

Will give you a marvelous start…

It will guide you to Truth and Right…

Marking your journey

As a Guardian of Light…

Many will try

To Lead you astray…

Be strong

Walk on

Keep silent… and Pray…

Know and trust

The Power within…

Your angels will assemble

And rush to defend…

Hold to the laws

Handed down from Above…

Generate the Magic…

And Wisdom of Love…

And soon…

Very soon…

Before the falling of night…

You will have become…

A Guardian of Light….

It is written that mankind will destroy itself…It is a vision that is coming close to being realized…especially in light of the pandemic now plaguing the planet…and human impatience to practice patience and protocol…along with blatant indifference to Equality on every level of human existence…

Things MUST change…We can all be instruments of change…and salvation…

Your Light within…is calling you to act without…

You are a Warrior…

Every act of human kindness…and every act committed against humanity…determined the fate of our existence continuing on this planet…along with the continuity of life on Earth…

Would that change your heart?

Would kindness and charity always be at the top of your “to do” list?

What if…

Every negative act…took away 24 hours of Earth’s rotation around the Sun…lessening and shortening all life expectation? With consciously committed negative acts, increasing this phenomenon…by the power of 100?

What if…

You could reduce 10 acts of negativity by standing up to racial injustice…and ensure the world would turn another revolution…would you?

What if…

The meaning of life isn’t complexity…but simplicity…and the simplicity…is simply learning how to love one another…without conditions…without bias?

What if…

Thoughts were things…and things were thoughts…and we’ve manifested harmful thoughts and things into the world…Can we change our thoughts and things into that which is more beneficial and positive to humanity and our planet?

What if…

You really were the key to changing America and the world by always standing up to racial injustice?

What if…

You could erase negativity by your input of positivity…at every given opportunity?

What if…

Practicing simplicity opened the door to understanding that love is unconditional and unbiased?

What if…

In recognizing that thoughts are things…and things are thoughts…and consciously channeling only the good would bring about positive and beneficial manifestations which would elevate humanity and our planet to a reachable state of peace?

Take away the “what if…” from everything said…

It’s all true….

We must want to embrace the good and the positive…more than those who embrace and magnify negativity.

You gave yourself over to Love?

Let go…let Love…

And witness the transformation…

America is falling to a sickness which can be treated…

Blaming Asians for the virus…and perpetrating violence against people of Asian descent…is to shame ourselves.

To continue this ignorance with hatred is a direct attack upon our humanity…

Whenever acts of hatred are visited upon another it creates a chain effect of deterioration upon the growth and development of the human race in consciousness and spirituality…

And when acts of kindness and defense is given in protecting the rights of those violated by such acts of hatred and stupidity…it raises the bar of hope for humanity…

We blame and shame ourselves in doing nothing…because it only continues the cycle of mental madness which feeds itself and grows in its dysfunctional prowess…with every unchecked folly projected upon another in hatred….

Our saving grace are those who stand up to hatred by standing strong with the victims…speaking out…and challenging those who are infected with their own debilitating virus: Hatred.

There is a cure for the virus of hatred…

Yes…hatred can be eradicated…where it can spread no more…

The cure is Love….

To Blame….is to Shame…ourselves…

If we continue to ignore the cure which will give humanity longevity…

We will succumb to the virus and disease of Hatred…

And the greatest cure of all…is free of charge and always available to tap…

Love one another…

Develop your immunity….

It Never Gets Any Easier…

Some days are better than others…

It never gets any easier…

On March 17, 2016, my mom passed away…Today is March 17, 2021…five years to the day. I spent March 16th, 2016 with my mother under the unfortunate circumstances of family members who would not let her live out her last years in peace…to her dying day.

The peaceful moments we shared together in the last years of her life…were priceless!

While I miss her terribly…and long to spend time with her…and hold telephone conversations with her…go to movie matinees with her…hear her laughter and sit down to dinner with her…I wonder if God’s timing wasn’t the best thing that happened to her…in calling her home when he did…

She left in the year of President Obama’s last term…She had the opportunity to see the first Black American family in the White House…

She was spared the blatant rise of Racism here in America against men and women of color; which would have only perpetuated the memory of her own son, my brother, a victim to police murder while visiting relatives in Louisiana in January, 1979…He was 24…unarmed…non-threatening…minding his own business…He was killed for being Black….

Mom would tell me stories about her life growing up in Oklahoma…and the racism and prejudice she endured for being Black…

Mom was spared the lawlessness and White Privilege of the Trump years…and the aftermath of collateral damage to American citizens…left to pick up the pieces of their shattered and broken dreams…and lives…forever altered by a pandemic denied and ignored by Trump and his Trumpist GOP constituency, spinning out of control lies… while fueling divisive propaganda that left American Democracy hanging by a thread, accented by an insurrection which resulted in lives lost, and the Capitol Building being desecrated…

Mom was 83 years when she made her passage to Glory…Had she stayed, she would have been coming upon 89 years…She may not have survived this pandemic with her underlying health issues…Blessings come in many disguises…even if we may not see them that way.

There are days when I awake and think, “I wish I could talk to mom about this…”

I miss her wisdom…her unsolicited advice and opinions…which always seem to be right on time…when you wish they weren’t! I miss our talks…I miss her cooking…I miss all the church socials she would buy me tickets to attend…without asking if I had any plans for those days…of course, I attended with her… I miss the way she extended her love to everyone without question…she always wanted people to be happy and enjoy themselves…I miss how she went out of her way to take care of others…without expectation of anything in return… I miss her smile…her tenderness…her love…

March 17th will always be more than Saint Patrick’s Day to me…

The Luck of the Irish brings home the life and love of my mom…in recognition of a life which will be forever celebrated…in grand old Irish style…and with grand memories in my heart…A picture book I will always have access to enter and view…

Happy celebration of life, mom…

If your mom is still with you in life…show her some love and appreciation…Every moment of every day…

One day her “celebration of life” will be on your doorstep…

Make every second count!

It’s time to take a serious and truthful look at the Republican Party…

Who are they supporting? It is clear that they are not supporting the American public who choose to support their conservative beliefs through the GOP…

Neither Republicans in the Senate or Republicans in the House, supported the American Rescue Plan…

All for one…and none for all…

The GOP has shown their true colors. They are loyal only to their party…not America…and not their constituency…They want and solicit the support of Republican Citizens when it is advantageous to serving their purpose…such as keeping their seats in The Senate and the House…to continue to persecute and character assassinate members of the Democratic Party, who despite shortcomings, are always supporting the American people…when their efforts are not blocked and attacked by the GOP. “Club GOP” has made itself exclusive to “self-service.”

Let’s clear up one very important truth that the GOP keeps touting as “excessive and unnecessary “free money” to the ailing and suffering American citizens, during this most dark and ravaging of times in American history; it is not free money…it is your money, taxpayer money, that is being returned to the American public…as it should be…

The GOP want to keep your tax dollars in coffers where they can capitalize off of it and enrich their own interests…

To watch certain Republican politicians continue to distort the truth while keeping their foots on the necks of the American public, both Republicans and Democrats, and Independents alike…is egregious…and a message must be sent to them by their public constituents, that they will no longer be “bamboozled” by the likes of Mitch McConnell and his Elephant “Klan.”

Examine “conservative values” and ask yourself if your lives move forward by holding on to traditions that can no longer be held in time… Or are your lives best served by moving forward and creating a better future for your families…and your children’s families, by opening up to a world that can no longer be stifled by traditions of the Past, and is forging forward in adjusting itself for the Future?

Without change, we stand to stagnate and perish in a country that will destroy itself in moving against the tide of change in fighting to remain in the dungeon of dark and archaic practices, which extend to Racism, Separatism…White Supremacy…Citizen Suppression…Poverty…Division…Inequality…Injustice…and the continued corruption in political arenas and misuse of taxpayer funds, while denying American citizens the right to a living wage, and a quality of life, that is always being touted as the “American Dream.”

The rights of Health Care…food on your table and a roof over your head, should not be the object of a “dream” but a right of passage to a dream of attainment which rises above fundamental elements of living a life above the poverty line.

How many Republican citizens will benefit from the American Rescue Plan, supported and passed by Democrats, but not their Republican constituents in the Senate and the House? Countless…and many are in desperate need of a hand up…yet not one of their Republican representatives gave them that “hand up.” Continuing to give your support to a “dead” party…is a continued walk to the death house for Republican citizens…It’s time to assess and put in leaders and representatives who have the best interests of the people and the country ahead of their own self-serving agendas.

The people of this country deserve to live and be given the opportunities which will give momentum and credibility to their dreams being realized…and a “hand up” when pandemics like “Covid-19” come to visit it’s horrific agenda upon the population.

The American Rescue Plan is putting our tax dollars to their best use…for the people…all people…regardless of party lines…this isn’t about parties…this is about being “American.”

If we can’t support one another in our times of need…then we are truly marked for doom.

The Republican Party embraces “All for One…and None for All…”

We must continue to demonstrate and support, “All for One…and One for All…” at all costs….

With our country and its citizens on the line…we must always remember and support America and her people…political parties come and go…we have only one country…and one people…Let us not lose sight of what makes America a home and a nation…it isn’t Democrats or Republicans or any political party…it is her people.

All For One…and One for All…

Slowly but surely life is moving forward…not as quickly as the months of this year…

What can we do to accelerate our road to recovery in gathering together again?

We can believe in and engage in the measures that will assist us in getting our lives back on track in living…

We can regain our faith in one another enough to care about one another…enough to practice social distancing…

Believe…

We can wear a mask and dispel the illusion that we are giving up personal rights to do so, when it has the odds on its side to save your life and the lives of others, knowing you can also set a life-saving example…

Believe…

We can overcome our fears enough to take a vaccine that has the ability to keep us from falling so ill that we may never recover…because we don’t want to fall ill…to the degree that we may become another fatality…

Believe…

That we are all superheroes and super heroines… because we possess the abilities to make all things possible to move ourselves forward through these current setbacks and obstacles…knowing all things will pass…and we can usher in the changes through these challenges…if we…

Seize The Moment…Seize The Day…

Once again…we are shown that “Time and Tide wait for no one…”

Here we are at February’s end…

How many of February’s days were seized in moments that have memorialized places in our hearts and positive changes in our lives…and the lives of others?

Every breath that you take…and every second that you take to move through your life…you are creating moments…moments that freeze in time…moments that will eventually become chapters…in your Book of Life.

We cannot afford to let time pass us by in months…hours…minutes…or seconds, without creating love…joy…and appreciation for life…and appreciation of life… One cannot…and must not be content with the order of any day…unless you have contributed in its creation.

Negativity, in any form, only rises to the occasion of destruction…seek not to destroy…but to build…by a contribution of love…joy…and appreciation…

Seize the moment…seize the day…

By offering a smile…a helping hand…a kind word and deed… Later… upon reflection…it will create a smile and joy…within you.

Never encourage or gloss over any act of negativity…in yourself…toward yourself…or toward others…Challenge these manifestations with solutions resulting in outcomes which will create and yield joyous moments…and days fulfilled…Days which will create significant entries into your Book of Life…A book that is constantly read…by the way you present yourself to others…today…and throughout your lifetime…

It comes back to…accountability.  Don’t ever believe that what you do will ever escape the eyes of Eternity….

March is upon us…

Be conscious…

Live in the moment of now…

Bring joy…and laughter…

Awe…and wonder…

Thankfulness…Peace…

Appreciation…

Love…and more love…

Give color and dimension to your life…and the lives of all… whom you meet on your journey through this life…

Intelligent Life…

What is it…Intelligent Life?

What does it mean?

Let’s start with Intelligence…

Sternberg’s theory of intelligence defines three types of Intelligence…Practical…Creative and Analytical….

Practical intelligence is street smarts and common sense…

Creative intelligence is imaginative and innovative problem solving…

And…Analytical intelligence is academic problem solving and computation.

Other psychologists believe that intelligence is a collection of definite abilities separate in nature, characterizing distinction in application.

Crystallized intelligence is defined as acquired knowledge and the ability to retrieve it… When one learns…remembers…and recalls information…they are utilizing crystallized intelligence.  Crystallized intelligence also helps one to overcome concrete, straightforward problems…

Fluid intelligence is the ability to see complex relationships and solve problems… Fluid intelligence helps one tackle complex, abstract challenges in their daily life.

The overall definition of intelligence is… the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills…

What kind of knowledge and skills create…

Weapons…

Wars…

Hatred…

Racism…

Discrimination…

Hunger…

Homelessness…

Greed…

Murder…

Killing…

Stealing…

Lies…

Deception…

Inhumanity…

Intelligence doesn’t encompass Love…

Intelligence doesn’t embody Compassion…

 Love… Compassion…

These… are the Soul of Humanity…

The Life…which gives Life…

Without Love…

Without Compassion…

Intelligent life…is doomed.

The ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills…

Intelligent Life…

Maybe Man is the only “intelligent life” in the Universe…

What Happens Now? Where Do We Go From Here?

We must decide and make a conscious choice on what happens now…and where we go from here as a nation…and as a people.

We have been given a revelation and expose´ of the decay and corruption actively functioning and deteriorating our country in the form of “self-serving” politicians…particularly represented by the GOP.

What happens now? Where do we go from here?

Party ideology and manipulation and their “interpretation” of the laws which govern our country…are damaging and destructive, divisive, and if we aren’t mindful and careful…will end with the downfall of America…

We have witnessed in our country the dangers and cost of “dictatorship” and extremists actions by putting a political party’s interests…before the interests of our nation.

With a country divided…and allowing what America was subjected to during the last administration…with the GOP and their president’s actions “immune” from accountability…it sends the wrong message.

Democracy is destructible…democracy is weak…democracy can be toppled…if democracy can’t enforce accountability.

What is more disheartening is to see how many people are willing to follow those who disrespect and dishonor…and disregard their oaths to America and its citizens…because they have been on the “crumb” receiving end for so long, they will believe and buy into anything…for a chance to be…something.

America and Americans deserve better than what it has been receiving from the political arena for so long…

We must pay attention to what is going on…and what is going on around us…

Especially in our government… when a door is opened to defy democracy…and it is not closed by accountability to those actions…more will feel free to walk through it…eventually leading a path to successful insurrection and sedition.  January 6, 2021 was a warning…and a preview of things to come…if we do not unify behind accountability…especially accountability of the GOP.

Trump unwittingly delivered the truth in exposing the face of our country with his actions and the complicit and selfish actions and dealings of his fellow Republicans…framing the racial divide…economic disparities…and the thread on which our democracy dangles…due to the rampant and blatant corruption, disregard and manipulations of constitutional law and the rule of law…without conscious regard or remorse….

Democracy was not formed for the power of one political party over another…it was born out of bipartisanship—something long, long lost on the GOP…They have set America on a path to failure and doom…by embracing the most dangerous of her flaws…Power…Greed…and Racism.

Self-hatred only serves to destroy…Immigration is self-hatred to anyone in the Republican party who supported Trump’s agenda on Immigration.  Everyone in the Republican Party is an immigrant…or are children of immigrants…How can you condemn what you are?

What kind of people are these who say they are a party of the people?

They are more like a collective of individuals using the guise of a people’s party as their own private vehicle; allowing them to shape and form the country to realize their own self-serving agendas…while “shepherding” their flock of supporters to the slaughter…shouting all the way that it is indeed the other political party responsible for all of the hardship and partisanship visited upon their supporters…to shield and conceal their true intentions, deceptive actions and natures…

Where we go from here…and what we do now is crucial…Again, one cannot just hand over their pearls to swine wherein they will only be trampled and crushed into powder…under their feet…and under their bus…

The American people aren’t deaf…dumb…or blind to what we have been witnessing in America over the decades…especially the last four years…with the exception of those who choose not to face or believe what has been happening around them…

Ask yourselves…How did Fascism and Nazism come about? It didn’t just spring up from the night all of a sudden…Seeds were planted and nurtured…and allowed to thrive and grow…Just as Trumpism was seeded…aided and abetted…nurtured…and allowed by the GOP…to thrive and grow.  Warning…Warning!

What happens now? Where do we go from here?

That depends upon us…

What do we want to happen now?

Where do we go from here?

Accountability…starts with each and every one of us…

What do we want for America?

Who do we want to represent America?

How do we want to represent America?

How do we want to grow America?

What does America mean to you?

Does America reflect…you?

Do You…believe in America?

Everyday Is A Celebration Of Love…

Everyday should be a celebration of Love…Love is not meant to be set aside for one day…and commercialized into being a demonstration and declaration of love…one day out of the year…

February 14th should be a reminder that maybe we do not love enough throughout the year…

Chocolates and flowers and saying “I love you” is a practice that should happen every hour…every minute…every second… of every day!  Gestures of love know no boundaries…limitations…or special moments to be expressed…

A price tag…or conditions…should never be placed on Love…

Love is a Divine gift…Love is a Divine right…to utilize and to give…when your heart speaks to you to do so…

It is also a rite of passage to open the door that reveals the power of love…and the transformations of miraculous proportions that unfold when love is given unconditionally…Love heals…Love is what saves Humanity….

Love is what saves Humanity…from itself.

Here is a bit of “history” uncovered according to an article written by Arnie Seipel on “The Dark Origins Of Valentine’s Day,” which he wrote on February 13, 2011…

From February 13 to 15, the ancient Romans celebrated the feast of Lupercalia.  The men sacrificed a goat and a dog, then whipped women with the hides of the animals they had just slain.

The Roman romantics “were drunk. They were naked,” says Noel Lenski, a historian at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  Young women would actually line up for the men to hit them. They believed this would make them fertile.

This ritual also included a matchmaking lottery, in which the young men would draw the women’s names from a jar, and the couples would be “together” for the whole of the festivities…longer if the match was right…

The Emperor Claudius II may be responsible for the name of our February 14th celebration… He had two men executed, who happened to share the name of “Valentine” at different years in the 3rd century A.D.  Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine’s Day.

Pope Gelasius later added to the confusion in the 5th century by combining St. Valentine’s Day and Lupercalia to stop pagan rituals…wherein the day still emerged as a day of fertility and love.

The Normans celebrated Galatin’s Day around the same time.  “Galatin” meant “lover of women”…further confusion with St. Valentine’s Day….

The tradition found its way into the New World…Factory made cards came into being in the 19th century…In 1913, Hallmark Cards, in Kansas City, Missouri, began their mass production of valentines…commercializing “love.”

A brutal, ancient Roman ritual…evolved into a “celebration of love,” one day a year…On February 14th….

Wouldn’t you agree that love deserves a better representation?

If you agree…let your love show…everyday…every hour…every second…

Don’t limit it to those you love…everyone can blossom…grow and transform…with love given in the kindest of gestures…as long as it is given from the heart…unconditionally…with honor…respect…and humility.

You can change your world…and the world of others…with love.

The greatest gift of love is demonstrated in kindness and compassion…

While we must wait until we pass through this “Age of Covid,” to give hugs…kisses and the gift of love through touch…remember to pass it along through kind words…a bright smile…chocolate…flowers…a teddy bear…cookies…a dinner…an act of kindness…helping a neighbor or stranger in need…changing any human misfortune or condition with a gesture of love…

Reach out…and transform…with love…in the name of love.

Don’t wait until February 14th…

Your transformational power of love is needed every second of everyday…and if you are on the receiving end of love…let it in…Let your transformation begin…with the Divine Gift…of Love.
