The two most prized gifts this Christmas Day are…the gift of Love…and the gift of Life…

The Universe has given humanity the task of extending life through love…by understanding and utilizing the meaning of “unconditional.”

The true meaning of Christmas which began to shift in the mid-19th century is “To give up one’s very self—to think of others…how to bring the greatest happiness to others.”

This Christmas we were tasked with choosing to adhere to the standing protocol involving social distancing and mask wearing to curb and slow down the spread of a raging plague classified as Covid-19, which came into being near the beginning of the year.  Many ignored protocol…and the virus gathered uncontrollable momentum and has now mutated to a strain that is faster in its ability to infect, increasing its reach into groups, such as people under the age of 30 and young children, nearly tripling its rate of mortality overall.

We have the ability to give life…by caring about the lives of others…by practicing social precautions known to arrest the spread of this deadly disease.  That includes traveling…

Can we care about others more than we care about ourselves?  The sacrifice that brought forth Christmas Day was the birth of a savior…who would one day sacrifice his life…to save humanity from the ravages of sin…whereby granting everlasting life by giving up his own self…by thinking of others.

The excuses made to ignore the simplest of short-term remedies in order to get back to normalcy are weak and selfish and without regard to others and their right to life.

There will be mothers and fathers…grandmothers and grandfathers…sisters and brothers…children and grandchildren…aunts and uncles…cousins and friends…who will lose their lives, because someone and many… felt they could ignore protocols, and live life as if it were normal…in the Age of Covid-19.

So many asymptomatic individuals are passing the virus onto others… Think of the thousands who could be spared and saved from this avenue of transmission if everyone wore a mask?

If doctors and nurses and other healthcare personnel, who are willing to put your life first…before their lives… and many have given up their lives in treating and caring for those stricken with this horrific disease…can’t we also love life enough to give the gift of life to another?

Out of love, we can give the gift of life through love…we can give the gift of life through helping those who are less fortunate in making it through this devastating trial of life altering circumstances…we must remember that any one of us can be touched by the tragedy of the Coronavirus…any one of us can be touched by the threat of eviction…any one of us has and can lose our livelihoods…but in the midst of it all…we must remember our humanity.  We have…and always will be…our brother and sister’s keeper…no matter what race…culture…creed…or any form of diversity…our purpose is to realize the connectivity we share with every living creature…the breath of life does not discriminate…it is the life of life… Un-conditionality must bring us to this realization…Love…must bring us to this realization….

This Christmas Day…out of darkness…light can come forth…through each and every one of us…The power of humanity’s longevity…is in your hands…and mine.

No act is too small…given out of love…it becomes a great miracle to one in need…

You are the first day of someone’s life…

Practice social distancing…

Wear a mask…

Please restrict your travel for just a little longer…

Donate a can of food to your local food bank…

Give a dollar or two to a charity that you know will help someone who has lost their home…or will help them save it.

You are chosen to save a life…by giving life…

Your importance isn’t measured by what you have or how much you can give…

You are important because you are the continuity of life…through your gift of love…through your gift of sharing the breath of life…

You are the giver of Christmas miracles…

The importance of Christmas…is you.

This Christmas Day, the two most prized gifts are the gift of Love…and the gift of Life…and you possess them both…

You have the free-will to exercise the giving…

Will you?

The Universe is watching….

Godspeed you the courage to honor your gifts…

Even if Covid prevents us from taking each other’s hand…

Find peace…even if for one day…

We can always find thanks and the heart to pray…

Tomorrow brings the promise of Light…

All that is good…faithful…and right….

We are always best at our worst you see…

Stick to the plan to save family…

Love your life…and the lives of others…

We are all in this together…every human…our sisters and brothers…

T’was the night before Christmas…

Rest…and rest well…

For tomorrow is Christmas…and you have a story to tell…

What you will record will depend upon you…

Be mindful…be safe…

Christmas 2021… will bring much to do!

What Just Happened?!

Did Scrooge just flip the script?! Perhaps the Spirit of Christmas isn’t lost on The Hill after all…

Christmas miracles can come from the least likely of places…like Trump!

Trump came out against the coronavirus stimulus bill calling it a “disgrace.”

Can I say this without being pelted? He finally got one right as he’s walking out the door…

Trump called for a raise in the stimulus payment from $600 to $2000.

For once…he got it right. He also said,”It’s called a Covid relief bill, but it has almost nothing to do with Covid.” Right again.

He went on to say, “Congress found plenty of money for foreign countries, lobbyists and special interests while sending the bare minimum to the American people.”

Our country has pledged to help foreign countries with aid as we have done in the past, and should continue to do…

Our politicians pledged and took oaths to serve and protect America and the Constitution…that includes aid to our citizens in need…not “hand me downs in hand outs.”

What greater need has presented itself to be duly addressed than the current and still raging pandemic?

What Trump left out is Mitch McConnell and others in the GOP have been stonewalling efforts of pandemic relief for the last several months, as well as other pertinent issues involving the livelihoods of the American people…for the last four years!

After the passing of the bill, Mitch McConnell said, “Help is on the way.” Grinch McConnell…never one to mince words, considers “bread crumbs,” “help.”

“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2000,” Trump added.

Was it the ghost of Christmas Past, Present or Future who solicited this change of heart? Or just another “Trump Twist” in the scheme of things?

Well…this unusual “parting gift” is a gem…a real Christmas “Miracle” should the amendment be made and passed come Thursday…Christmas Eve….

Perhaps the Saturn-Jupiter Conjunct has brought about the miracle of the Christmas Star in stark 2020…a sign from the heavens that “change is in the making.”

Change always enters by the most unlikeliest avenue…

Maybe it can tweak Trump’s mind and heart just long enough to give him the grim realization that the election was not rigged, fraudulent or stolen…and that he really did lose being reelected, by the will and the vote of the people…

I guess we can’t stretch the magic of one Christmas miracle…the American people need the miracle of a $2000 stimulus check…over a mind bent on altering reality.

A Little Christmas Cheer…

Robert Reich, an American economic advisor, professor, author, and politicial commentator, wrote on Twitter, on December 11, 2020, a very mind-boggling piece of information which gives rise to many questions and concerns about the $900 billion stimulus package passed by the Senate, yesterday.

Mr. Reich also served in the administrations of Presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter, and served as the United States Secretary of Labor from 1993 to 1997, under Bill Clinton.

Here is Mr. Reich’s tweet:

“America’s billionaires could give everybody in the country a $3,000 stimulus check and still be richer than they were before the pandemic.

If that doesn’t convince you we need a wealth tax, I don’t know what will.”

The compromise made in the stimulus package just approved, cut in half a stimulus payment previous, that provided $1200 to citizens…now that payment is $600…The bill also did not include state and local aid…State unemployment aid went from $600 dollars a week, to $300 a week, for an 11 week limited period… Republicans argued that people would choose to collect the money from the stimulus package, rather than work.

What a foolish and absurd conclusion…Do you think that is the reason why they never wore masks, and flaunted their “invincibility” to Covid-19, to show the millions who lost jobs, lives and income, due to this virus, that it was all in their heads, and working in infected environments was far better than protecting their health and families with government assistance during an escalating, fatally raging pandemic?!

The average American does not have the insurance or the privilege of being treated with the drugs, and by the doctors who attended those who were infected with the virus in the outgoing administration, due to their disbelief of the serious consequences of this virus, and their flirtatious folly of engagement and challenge in contracting it, by balking at and ignoring social distancing and mask protocol.

How many family Christmases will never be the same…because so many were mislead?

Mitch McConnell wanted to include protection for businesses against Covid-19 liability…Why? If you want people to work during the pandemic putting their lives on the line, businesses should incur liability should an employee contract the virus while on the job! When does human life become an asset…rather than always becoming collateral damage?

Cutting back on the “stimulus package” in terms of financial assistance sends a clear message to the American people….You’re “collateral damage.”

These bread crumbs are supposed to make you jump up and down with glee at such a Christmas miracle, according to many fat-cat politicians…Right. What happened to the stimulus assistance between July and now? The virus didn’t take a break. It ramped it up a thousand percent… Now it’s mutated resulting in more rapid contagion.

360 people in the United States, hold 4.3 trillion dollars in wealth… There are 331 million people in the United States…minus those lost to Covid-19… A large percentage of those people still living…are waiting in line at food banks…have lost…with more losing and being evicted from their homes this Christmas….

In 2008, the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) was created to bailout the banks by purchasing toxic assets held by the banks… If the government had given every US citizen one million dollars, instead of bailing out the banks, the economy would have been stimulated by debts being paid, homes being paid off, and money poured back into the economy by the people…Guess what? The government could have saved a few billion dollars in surplus, and the people would have rescued the economy and the banks, with such a stimulus gesture… The reality is people are just pawns to be moved about…and “wooed and manipulated” when elected officials need a win.

Let that sink in…We the people are pawns of political and social greed…

It’s time to change the music…and sing to the tune of the people.

It’s time to walk to the beat of a different drummer…

The reality of Christmas cheer is on our doorsteps.

We are the heartbeat of this nation…

Where we go from here… is our reality.

Countdown to Christmas…

In five days we will face our Christmas Present in a nation left divided by political strife…

Devastated by a virus mutating and spreading with the aid of those insisting upon ignoring mask protocol, social distancing and traveling this holiday season…

There is an available vaccine that will not be available to stop a surge now growing rapidly with each passing day…

Millions are still waiting for a stimulus package which will not arrive in time to ease the strain of the economic fallout from the raging corona virus, wherein many face evictions, a sparse Christmas table in food and family members and friends fallen victim to the death and physical debilitation of Covid-19…

While this may seem like a dark Christmas, there is still hope and the promise of joy and miracles…

We have been shown that the light and love of compassion still emanate brightly in the hearts and kind acts of our fellow human beings…

Many private citizens have stepped forward with contributions in many ranges and variables to aid those in need…

You may well be one of those beacons giving and bringing comfort and joy.

The spirit of Christmas is not just demonstrated in the approaching date of December 25th… The spirit of Christmas is year round, day to day…

Humanity is in great need of Love, Compassion, Giving, Healing…and reinforcing the virtues which define the “better” in those of us who wish to honor the better of ourselves…

We must step away from the “luxury” love has been made out to be…Love is who we are…it is our rite of passage in “becoming” better versions of ourselves.  It is the great stepping stone in our evolution of spirit…a great gift which can create miracles and change us and those we touch…in the twinkling of an eye…

In five days, we can do a world of good in supporting and practicing the miracle of Christmas by bringing forth our powers to manifest miracles…utilizing our spirits to embrace Goodwill…Giving…Loving…all those who cross our paths…in these days leading up to Christmas…and beyond.

This Countdown to Christmas is the beginning of your legacy…your miracles of change occur in the lives you touch…with the power of love…be it a smile…a contribution…or any heartfelt act of kindness…any gesture of compassion…given in love….

This Christmas season, the Savior has deemed you the savior…

One act of kindness…can change a life…and many lives…forever.

Stupidity…it is a perplexing dilemma.  Especially one’s own.

We have all been there from time to time…sometimes very conscious of it…and other times completely oblivious to it…either way, we must step up and accept accountability to this foolish lapse in sensibility.

We know that “educated fools” are educated, yet fools none-the-less.  Being educated has not taken away their condition of being fools…in fact, some revel in being a fool and educated! Hmmm…so many to choose from…

However, it is the perplexity of stupidity that has many stumped…Let’s take a look at a few…

Congressional Republicans still refuse to acknowledge the clear and present no-nonsense-no fraud win of President-Elect Joe Biden…of the 249 Republicans in the House and Senate…only 27 acknowledge that Biden won the presidential election…

Republicans don’t need to worry about committing “political suicide” by not acknowledging the truth of the election, and fearing the wrath of their lost and losing leader…They have already taken the life of their Party, and its viability by not standing together with integrity and putting country first…political suicide committed…and the least of their worries in the times ahead…

We who know the truth see the real riggers and frauds of our nation, will remember…and act accordingly when the time to do so arrives…and it will arrive, further delays, subversion and malicious mischief will not hold back the inevitable reality: Trump lost, and this perplexing stupidity will continue to prevail in the Republican Party.

Those handful of Republicans who have their heads and hearts in the right place by putting country first and pushing back on the perplexing stupidity of the GOP, are true patriots…this is what integrity and honor looks like in practice…and they are to be commended, protected and appreciated for keeping to their oaths of office and service to the people they represent, Americans…Not Democrats or Republicans…Americans.

Rudy Giuliani tested positive for the Coronavirus…He’s in the hospital.  He played Russian roulette with the virus in not adhering to social distancing and wearing a mask…and practicing proper sanitation protocol…perplexing…stupidity looms everywhere…

Republicans have invited an anti-vaccine doctor to testify before the Senate Committee…At a time when Covid-19 is surging at an astronomical pace, discouragement to take a vaccine that could save lives and eventually aid in controlling this deadly virus should be the message…Encouraging and allaying fears about taking the vaccine should be the objective…the public is not being forced to take the vaccine, and they should not be frightened into not taking it…forked tongues seem to run amok in delivering chaos out of this camp…and watching those who embrace it is truly a lesson in the perplexity of stupidity…

“Behavior that shows a lack of good sense or judgment.”

“The quality of being stupid or unintelligent.”

Stupidity….

Witnessing people bathe themselves in ignorance and stupidity…is mind boggling and life changing…and can be so damaging to lives as to be irreparable…which appears to be the agenda and legacy of the present Administration and their Party.

Spreading lies about election stealing and voter fraud…which did not happen…is definitely being a “gracious loser.” The first indication of being a “gracious loser” would be not to incite crowds to the height of violence while filling their heads with the chaos of untruths by giving lessons in evil substantiated–Lies–supported by the majority of the Republican Party and constituents in State government…all “gracious losers” with tons of integrity…Not.

“Lack of knowledge or information.”

Ignorance….

Guard against its bite…

Once bitten…there appears to be no antidote…or recovery for those who seek to keep the venom in their veins.

Sense and sensibility is the answer.

Always practice it and you will never fall victim to…

The Perplexity of Stupidity….

I Am An American…Let The People See…

I am an American…

My heritage is comprised of African, Native American and European ancestry…

Because of the color of my skin…when people look upon my face they see a person of color…quite simply, a Black person…who happens to also be…a woman.

Without thorough tracing of my family tree, I know that I am at least a fifth generation born here in America…

I am an American…

In my years of growing up in my country of birth…I have witnessed…and continue to witness the horror and tragedies of Racism through media coverage…within my immediate family…and my overall families of African heritage spread throughout America…and the world over.  My immediate concerns are here in America…because I am an American…

I remember as a young girl…looking at “before” and “after” pictures of a young man whose name was Emmett Till, in a Magazine called “Jet.” I believe I was ten years old…Emmett was a handsome young man to me…and he was horrifically beaten, mutilated and murdered…accused of flirting with or whistling at a white woman…Those images haunted my young mind for days and weeks afterward…I remember asking my aunt questions as I was looking through the magazine at her home, what certain words and sentences meant…Sometimes she didn’t answer me. I came to understand as I grew older…

I was sick to my stomach wondering how anyone could do such a horrific thing…to such a beautiful young boy…

I am an American…

He was an American…

How could something like this come to be?

Mamie Till-Mobley, Emmett’s mother said, “Let the people see what they did to my boy.”

A Historian and Author, Elliot J. Gorn wrote a book called, “Let The People See”, released on November 1, 2018.  A study about the murder of Emmett Till.  Maureen Corrigan, a book critic ended her review of the book saying…

…”Let The People See”… is a vivid reminder of just how easy it is for people not to see things they’d rather not see.” October 30, 2018 Book Review.

How easy is it for people not to see things?

…To watch George Floyd murdered by a police officer…while other officers stood around and watched…and did nothing to stop it… and not bring charges of 1st degree murder against the officer who murdered Floyd, and bring accessory murder charges against each officer standing by while his life’s breath was being taken away from Mr. Floyd with the officer’s person on Floyd’s chest, and his knee planted firmly against his neck…as he pleaded for air and his mother…

George was an American…

I am an American…

We all know the successive lives taken…the character assassinations and excuses of life threatening scenarios which were never proven to justify the taking of those lives…

They were…Americans…

In 1979…I lost my own brother…who was visiting relatives in Louisiana…unarmed and not a threat…shot twice in the back at 24 years of age.

He was an American…

I am an American…

My father was a United States Navy Veteran… He died a year before my brother was murdered by two police officers in Louisiana…

He was an American…

Who has created such vulnerabilities and limitations to America’s Democracy?

America is not perfect by any means of the imagination…However, we can make it better…for EVERY American…by making the choices that include every American…Man…Woman…and Child…regardless of Race…Creed…or Culture.

If we are to honor what America truly stands for…we will uphold our Democracy by rescuing and strengthening and rebuilding a better country… and a better way of life inclusive of liberty…with laws protecting those liberties solidly…not just with pretty words spoken or written on a piece of paper….

Our country will not fall into “Socialism” as is being touted by an opposing Party.

How easy it is for people to not see things they’d rather not see…

Fear is the great oppressor…That is why it is a successful tool to throw into the mix when the object is to gain the upper hand…

Who can restore America’s Democracy and take measures to ensure it against attacks from without as well as within…from those who misrepresent themselves as patriots to…and for the American people?

Standing example…The present Administration has broken every spiritual law…completely ignores the rule of law…and broken every Oath of Office with impunity…and are using every fear tactic known to Man…including Voter Suppression, to secure another four years of divisiveness and damage to the American people and our Democracy…

How easy is it…for people not to see things…they’d rather not see…Especially when these scenarios are given a free “Party” pass and being acted out daily, before our very eyes?

Covid-19 is making an example of the flagrant ignorance being directed at its presence and consequences in lack of protection against it…the disregard for its toll already in lives taken and its illness spreading…due to the ignorance and untruths being throw out to the masses by the present Administration…who have taken on another false belief that they know better than the medical experts…and Science…

How easy it is for people to see things…they’d rather not see…

I am an American…

My heart bleeds for those who “call themselves Americans” and so readily support the ruination of our Democracy…and our America…

And my heart bitterly weeps…and bleeds continuously for those who are “True Americans”…

Who love this country…Who have shed blood for this country…in service to this country…to preserve the meaning of Liberty…Truth…Justice…Honor…Integrity…and the real and true…American Way.

For those who have fought…and have passed the torch so that those who love America can continue to remove the shadows of Racism and Inequality…to restore and uphold the voice and meaning of the Lady standing in New York Harbor…

To those of us who are mindful and who uphold the motto of “Never Again” constantly… to remind us of the dangers of apathy, dictatorships…supremacy…and the darkness that erupts in souls who quest for absolute power…

These truths have revealed to us that this present Administration in the White House is no different than those who launched the 9-11(2001) attack against America…

This present Administration is no different than those who bombed the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013…

No Commander-in-Chief with a heart would send their people into battle without the proper gear and ammunition…

No Commander-in-Chief would ignore high casualties in a battle without expressing compassion and concern…

No Commander-in-Chief would continue to entertain an obvious threat to the lives of his citizens without taking actions to contain it…unless the lives of the masses…didn’t matter…

No Commander-in-Chief with a conscience would repeal healthcare insurance for 23 million citizens without a safety net…

The latest act of this Administration is to commit Voter Suppression…Terrorism…and using the Federal and State justice systems to aid in attempting to hijack an Election win…Organized crime at its best….

This Administration is using their greatest deception to easily accomplish their acts of destruction, intimidation and terrorism against the American people…

They are claiming to be “Americans”….

We cannot undo the many inhuman atrocities visited upon those of my ancestry…

Nor can we undo the many inhuman atrocities of the past that have been visited upon other groups of our diverse, human family…

The fabric of America is still being woven…

Yet… we can bring about stronger unity…and weave new threads into the fabric of our country…by realizing our responsibilities in protecting one another from further and future harm…

Keeping in mind that now is the time to reform and rebuild…the next Administration must be open to doing just that…but not without the watchful voices and actions of We…the People…

So much corruption and past mistakes can be challenged and rectified…with someone who will listen…who has made mistakes…realizes their mistakes…and has the heart to admit them…and has the heart to enforce the will and best interests of the people.

The perfect politician does not exist…

Someone once said, “Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.”

I am an American…I love America…and I want America to have the opportunity to move in the right direction to heal Her wounds…and walk Her walk once again on the path to Freedom and Justice for All…

Generations are changing…Our world is changing…Our country needs the opportunity to change with the times for the betterment of our children and the generations to come…

They are the future…only one candidate can give them that future…

I am an American…

I voted with a Blue Heart…while not perfect…while mistakes were made in the past…these candidates best represent the recovery of America for Americans…

I…for one…can see things as they are…

How easy it would be to just look the other way…

Many died to give me the freedom to Vote…

I’ll never defile their memories…by ignoring their ultimate sacrifices…by not voting…and choosing those who will serve with the heart of a leader…for the country and her citizens…first and foremost.

I am an American…

And I stand by the pledge in song…

Stand beside her…and guide her…

Lastly, I ask…

Who has created such limitations and vulnerabilities to America’s Democracy?

We the People…

Whenever we miss a chance to stand up…

Take charge…

And make our voices heard…

America is the promise of tomorrow…today.

And I will always protect her promise….

The Soul of a Nation…Moral Character and Morality…Are You Good or Evil?

November 3rd is our “Day of Judgement.” There is more at stake than Climate Change…The Economy…Healthcare…Supreme Court Justices…Democratic Party…Republican Party…Racism…and even the Corona Virus Pandemic…  What could be more significant than any and all of these?

The Soul of a Nation…Moral Character and Morality…Our Souls…Our Moral Character and Morality…

Are You Good or Evil?

We have been witnesses to the most corrupt and evil administration in our Nation’s history, hands down.  We have also been witnesses to the incredibly egregious lack of moral character and morality in the history of this Nation…blatantly committed by the Republican Party and its “dictator.” Presidents past…as well as the Senate, House, and Judicial branches of the government have never completely disregarded the Rule of Law, or their commitments to preserve it…until this present administration.

What is more appalling are the people who choose to follow and support such soulless acts against the people of this nation…while handing over their souls in complete abandon…without regard to the consequences they have condoned upon their fellow Americans…and themselves.

The votes we cast will reveal the essence of our souls…The truth of who we are deep within will be known by who we choose to support come November 3rd…We are the focus of this election…Each and every one of us is the soul of this nation…we…and we alone, have the power to restore the soul of our nation…

Are You Good…or are you Evil?

We must choose who best represents the soul of our Nation…

Are we Good…or are we Evil?

November 3rd…is our Judgement Day.

There is one Candidate who is…and has blatantly demonstrated…with pleasure and complete lack of empathy and concern… the guaranteed and absolute death of this Country…

There is one Candidate who will absolutely give our Nation an opportunity to rebuild and restore our Moral Character and Morality…

That Candidate will enable us to address, explore and find solutions to the issues that are presently plaguing, dividing, deteriorating and destroying a nation once known for its welcoming shores…

This Election is bigger than our personal needs…This election will either give us back the ability to fulfill our personal needs…on a National level…and as well…on a personal level…or take them away…Forever.

Our Goodness…or the Propensity for Evil…will decide the Soul of our Nation on November 3rd.

We can restore the moral character and morality in this country, so abhorrently blindsided by the present Administration…by what dwells within each one of us…

Are you Good…or are you Evil?

Party restructuring can occur with our votes…and our continued vigilance in standing up and making our voices heard by using our power…by unifying in massive support…as “We the People.”  What is a Nation…without people?  We are people…not pawns. When we demonstrate our power in Unity…we initiate and bring about Change….

Perfection does not exist in any individual…Compassion…Morality…Moral Character…Empathy…Humility…Love for Humanity…Love and Appreciation for our Planet…Selflessness…Goodness…These qualities are present in those who strive for the betterment of themselves… and for the elevation and betterment of Humanity…This Morality of Character…this Morality…this Goodness is present in many…it is this Goodness…that keeps the world turning…and it is this Goodness…that will save and restore…the Soul of a Nation.

Donald Trump and his Administration is not in any shape…form…or fashion… a reflection of Goodness…

What can you afford to lose?

Another family member or two… to Covid-19?

Another job or business because the working class is being overlooked and discounted due to those who have deemed the working heart and soul of America…expendable?

Each one of us knows our essence…Each one of us knows what is really at stake…

Future generations…of Humanity…and the ability to prolong the life of our environment…now depends upon the goodness…or evil…that takes the reins…at our choice….

Moral Character…Morality…The Soul of a Nation….

Are you Good…or Evil?

Judgement Day…

November 3rd…

You…and Me…

We are the Key…

Salvation…or Damnation?

Your Soul…and the Soul of a Nation…

Our fate…is in… our hands…

While out on my daily walks this past week at a beautiful forest park in the middle of the city where I live,  I noticed many people out walking, running and biking along the trails…without masks…and without social distancing, which is posted in visual and worded detail, upon entering the park… Children are present with a parent or two…Boys and girls soccer teams…elderly people…without masks…sans social distancing….

Here is some food for thought…

We all breathe the same air… when people are running without masks, walking, biking and socializing, believing that they are protected because they are in the “open air”…did you ever stop to think about the transmission of this virus? It is AIRBORNE…

The open air, is not going to protect you from the virus…because it is airborne.  It travels through the air.  When someone coughs…or sneezes…or breathes heavily, as in running, they are releasing particles from their mouths…which are large particles…aerosol in nature, into the open air… When one comes behind them, they are exposing themselves to whatever is lingering in the air after that person or persons has expelled the contents of their person…into the air.

Asymptomatic…contagious…one has no idea…yet, one is exposing themselves to a greater possibility of contracting Covid-19, because they believe they are “safe” in an open air environment. So…why wear masks? Why practice social distancing? Why care about the next person? Chances are, you’re good, right?

Wear a mask. Period. Practice social distancing. Period. Why take chances? Maybe it would take you or someone you love to contract this disease…would that bring it home to finally take heed?

Don’t play Russian roulette with your health or the health of others… Until everyone takes this virus seriously and practices social distancing and wearing masks…it’s going to prolong the longevity of this disease.  Defiance will only result in more sickness…death…and shutdowns…

This is the new normal…be flexible and willing to change your lifestyle for now. If everyone does their civic duty to themselves and our communities, we can and will beat the odds of this pandemic.

This virus is airborne…wear a mask at all times, outside of your home…no matter what you are doing…and especially when you are out at parks and recreational areas where groups of people gather…believing…that because they are outdoors…they are safe…and there is no need of masks…or social distancing…

Nothing could be farther from the truth…use common sense…be wise…once this virus is under control and a vaccine is available, safe, tested and proven to contain and stop the spread of Covid-19…then…and only then…can masks come off…and social distancing, will clearly be a choice of liking or disliking someone enough…to let them get close….

Just some Food For Thought……
