All Saints Day…A Prayer For Humanity…

It is said that “on the Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, the Church celebrates those Christians who achieved spiritual maturity.”

Spiritual maturity knows no culture or creed…no color or gender…

A spiritual mature person actively honors all beings and recognizes we are all interconnected, diverse and unique. According to Genesis chapter one, verse 26, we are all created in the “image” and “likeness” of God/the sacred, with the capacity to discover that potentiality.

Looking back on the last 10 months…one must wonder…where is humanity’s spiritual maturity?

Where is the spiritual growth and progression?

Somehow it appears that spiritual growth has been stunted, and progression is taking giant steps backward into “cave people” mentality…with the masses blindly accepting without question or pause…

On this All Saints Day…we need a Prayer for Humanity…

The chaos just manages to somehow grow and swallow all sense and sensibility…and again, it is welcomed! When one becomes blinded to the truth and accepts obvious lies as truth…humanity loses another generation of spiritual maturity and spiritual growth…with the loss reverberating around the planet.

One day soon, it will become quite clear that materialism…power…and the quest to control will crush individual spirit to the point of no return. Perhaps we are already witnessing this fallout in everyday fare…when children at the age of seven years are toting guns in their backpacks…we must ask ourselves…where is humanity headed?

When the resurfacing of hatred against groups and cultures rise with an intensity of resurrecting atrocities which were sworn to be “never again” lie on the precipice of eruption…we must ask ourselves,”Was there ever an ounce of spiritual maturity in humanity’s journey of evolution from such horrific events through the passage of time?”

We only need to look in our own backyards…and witness the deep division in America…from the constant nursing of Racism…and “whitewashing” of Slavery and Black Americans…Native American genocide…Asian cruelties and other diversity groups being targeted… to know that “spiritual maturity” is nothing more than grasping at a dream…and we must say a prayer for humanity…

And while we are saying that prayer…we must stand up for preserving whatever best is left…in humanity…to evolve and rise above this innate hunger to destroy and divide…to conquer…a conquering that has no rewards…no redemption…just a fractured…and crumbling America…Asia…Europe…Middle East…Africa…our planet…

Every hand plunges the sword…no one is innocent…as long as we continue to endorse evil with illusion and delusion…and sleight of hand.

This is the eleventh hour…of the eleventh month…November…The number eleven…master number…a unique, powerful vibration…it is time to be influenced by the eleventh month…to find your inner strength in these times of trial not only to cope well with crisis and chaos…but to banish it from destroying humanity.

All Saints Day…A Prayer For Humanity…

Only a center in Love can cement and conquer…restore and rebirth…cast out the soulless… and bring light once again…to a planet shrouded in that which seeks to destroy it…

Examine your hearts…Are you Love?

Or that which seeks to destroy?

You hold the decisive energy…

You will decide…the prayer…which will energize spiritual maturity…

Or send the human spirit spiraling down an endless crevice of no return…

Which side of humanity will you embrace?

All Saints Day…has opened the door…

We Dream the Dream…Let’s Make it Happen…For Everyone….

Today is the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday…

I want to reflect on an article I was sent back in 1999, when putting together a list of charities to benefit from a concert that was being prepared to move into the 21st Century…This was one of the charities…Oxfam America…

“Many believe blacks must participate in the structure of American capitalism in order to prosper as individuals and communities.  Ownership, the bedrock of American society and measure of success, makes citizens free to master their own destinies.  Ownership brings leverage in American economic life and, subsequently, social and political spheres.  Lack of ownership, many believe, has kept blacks and minorities in an inferior social position in which financial resources are squandered to maintain the success of already powerful whites.”

–Laura K. Warrell, Oxfam America Viewpoint, spring 1999, Cover Story, “Does Restitution for Black Farmers Equal Justice”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed and spoke upon equality for Black Americans economically, as a key factor in achieving racial equality, and spoke upon it in many of his speeches on the long road to establishing Civil Rights for Americans of African ancestry…decades before organizations like Oxfam took up the journey to solidify processes and progress in this still long, long road to racial equality…

Where are we in education…housing…jobs…equal pay…civil rights…freedom…the American Dream…Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream?

When you look at America today…do you see progress or a train running backwards down a hill… headed for certain destruction? Do you see hope for a brighter future? Or positive changes unraveling and being taken apart…taking a country back to savage beginnings it takes pride in clinging to?

How can we…honor the best of ourselves…by implementing that best into the fabric of a nation torn and tattered by division and despair? How can we ensure the promise of America, when days like today come…and remind us what living and living in America…and the world, is really all about?

Take today and remember…take today and what it really means to dream a dream of peace…unity…humanhood…community…liberty…freedom…and make it your reality to create a world that can continue to achieve and sustain the better part of humanity’s contributions in ensuring a future for generations…

I have a dream…

That we will wake up…create the dream…and live it….

a day
