Light Of My Salvation…

Today is April 1st…April Fools…and Maundy Thursday…

Holy Thursday, or Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter…It is the day that commemorates the Washing of the Feet and The Last Supper of Jesus Christ with His Disciples…

For me…it is a day to always remember the Light of My Salvation…

It is especially important to remember and to be thankful…because Holy Week, culminating with Easter Sunday is when humankind came into their everlasting Salvation…and to also remember that everyday of your life…is indeed a gift of Salvation…

Light of My Salvation

In my darkest hour

I always turn to You

because You’re always there

to see me through…

Not that I don’t have You in my thoughts

and deeds every single day…

You are truly my salvation

when sorrow comes my way…

You are my strength,

My Savior,

the essence of my being…

When I talk to You

it stops my heart from fleeing…

Thank you for opening up

Your arms to me…

Allowing me my tears…

Allowing me to be…

Opening my heart… To see…

There is no love greater…

No love sweeter…

No love more compassionate…

No love more freely given…

A love that is always there…

To fill my cup…

Light of the world…

Light of my existence…

Light of My Salvation…

Dearest God,

Thank you…

For always being here… Within me…

Without You, I know…

I would be forever lost…

In darkness…..

This April 1st…remember that there are moments filled with playing the Fool…

Let this Holy Thursday reflection…begin the road to your continued salvation….
