A week ago today (Oscars, 2022) most of us witnessed an act of unprovoked violence on television around the globe, which solicited every known and unknown feeling and response over and under the sun…making everyone take a deeper look into how we respond and how we handle situations that call for one rising above their emotional impulses…Yet, going ever deeper still…where are we on the spiritual scale of evolution?

I came across a passage someone gave me many years ago…and it made me want to share it…because it reminded me of what we really are here on this planet to accomplish…it isn’t about you or me…it’s about “us”…Love…and creating a better tomorrow for everyone…no matter what…Maybe we will understand…Someday soon….

At Day’s End…

Is anybody happier because you passed their way?

Does anyone remember that you spoke to them today?

The day is almost over…and its tolling time is through…

Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you?

Can you say tonight…in parting with the day that’s slipping fast…

That you helped a single person of the many that you passed?

Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said?

Does the person whose hopes were fading…now with courage look ahead?

Did you waste the day…or lose it…was it well or sorely spent?

Did you leave a trail of kindness…or a scar of discontent?

As you close your eyes in slumber…do you think that God would say…

“You have earned one more tomorrow…by the work you did today”?

Before you close your eyes tonight, ask yourself in earnest, these questions… “Did I make someone’s day better?” “Did I think about anyone else instead of myself?” “Was I thankful for what I have…enough to share with someone who doesn’t?”

Was I an “ass” or a blessing to someone?

At the end of the day we should already know the answer…because we make it a practice to add to someone’s life…not take away from it…

And it becomes second nature to be the best expression of yourself…

Because that wonderful, uplifted feeling you get in your heart…Gives you another tomorrow….and gives the world another revolution around the Sun….
