The tenth month arrived nine days ago…The Fall Equinox arrived on September 23rd…”Fall is here…the Winter’s near…Farmers are gathering the harvest…Leaves are bright…The pumpkins, ripe…Sing Fa-La-La…Sing Fa-La-Lay…Sing Fa-La-La-La-La-La-Lay…Lay”…These are words from a song of Fall, from my early school days… The weather changes during Fall…The leaves change during Fall…our emotions and senses change…during Fall.
What of our emotions and senses will we harvest? Will our harvest bounty be abundant with blessings and goodness and joy toward all we encounter? Or will each personal yield be lacking…scarce…and self-serving?
